Hi there! My name is Hannah Zilka and I am a graduate of Barnard College, Columbia University currently pursuing my Doctorate in Physical Therapy at Drexel University. For the last few years, I have been a private tutor based out of NYC specializing in middle school and high school math and sciences (please see below for a full list of subjects). Over the years, I have been a frequent babysitter as well as camp counselor for tweens and teens and have come to love and understand the complexities of that age demographic. Thus, in addition to helping students improve their grades, I aim to build a genuinely positive relationship with each of my students to foster a comfortable environment to explore challenging topics. Additionally, I work to challenge my students to think beyond the given assignment to consider how what they are learning in class impacts the world around them. Finally, I hope to engage my students in educational dialogue and instill in them proper study habits and skills to benefit them later in life.
