I am an experienced tutor and mathematician and I know how difficult math and science can be for a student to grasp. Many times this is because a student is taught at, and not taught to. A teacher teaches, but I believe I am there to make sure you learn. It is my job to assist you in learning the subject matter. Students have different ways of learning and understanding and many students are not taught in a way that works for their learning style. I strongly believe in the importance of my finding methods of teaching so my students are able to thrive in their learning environment. I enjoy tutoring students and I like to bring fun and enthusiasm to our sessions. I am able to work with students on a variety of subjects including algebra 1-4, calculus 1-3, geometry, elementary/middle school math, statistics, trig, college entrance exam prep, Spanish 1-4, chemistry, reading, writing, and more.In my free time, I like to go running, hiking, and practice yoga. I also enjoy playing the guitar, reading, and meditation.
